Hey all.
I'm trying to use the Braille lite to check for email messages. When I try to connect, i keep hearing "no dial tone". This makes me think that I have to connect the phone line to the Braille Lite. Does anyone know how that can be done?
Or, if the internal modem can connect without being hooked to the phone line, I'd like to know that, too.

You need a cable to go from the braille lite's modem port to the phone jack in the wall. You can buy them at radio shack, best buy, or any other electronic store here in the US. Yes, you need to have a phoneline to connect to get your email, a modem can't function without one.
